- 01Timing belt or chain kitKeeps the crankshaft and camshafts in step. Kits usually bundle the belt or chain with tensioners, guides, and sometimes the water pump.
- 02Engine mountHolds the engine to the body and absorbs vibration. A worn mount shows up as a clunk on take-off or extra shake at idle.
- 03Valve cover gasketSeals the top of the cylinder head. Oil seeping down the side of the engine or burning on the exhaust is the usual sign.
- 04Head gasket setSeals the cylinder head to the block. Sets include the head gasket plus the smaller gaskets the job disturbs.
- 05Oil panHolds the engine oil at the bottom of the engine. Check whether the drain plug and gasket are included.
Before you order
- Engine parts often change with the engine code, not just the displacement. Read the code from the label or the VIN before you order.
- Gaskets and seals are cheap next to the labor to reach them. Replace the ones you disturb.
